Bikerman Engineering and Technology Associates, Inc. (BETA) is a minerals industry consulting firm founded by David Bikerman in early 1997 and incorporated later that year. The facilities are housed in a 2,400 ft2 office located in Old Lyme, Connecticut.

BETA offers expert services ranging from: exploration and geologic model preparation; geostatistical and reserve analysis; environmental plans; project feasibility; to project design and management. BETA personnel have extensive experience with open-pit and underground mine operations from grass-roots exploration through start-up to steady-state production.

Our in-depth knowledge of heap-leach gold projects in Latin America is unsurpassed.
BETA's technical personnel were senior managers in Latin America contributing towards making successful low-cost operators of heap leach gold mines in Nicaragua and Honduras. BETA performed due-diligence and feasibility studies for gold projects in Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica.

BETA's principal is David Bikerman.. Mr. Bikerman left a position as Vice President and Chief Engineer of Greenstone Resources Ltd in 1997 in order to start BETA.

In addition to its employees, BETA has numerous consultants who may be assigned to specific jobs as circumstances warrant. Consultants to BETA are selected to provide the best-suited person to perform the job at hand.

BETA's strength is its working experience gained from Latin American mining projects. Senior personnel are Spanish speaking and familiar with the infrastructure, economics and culture of the region. BETA will consider jobs anywhere in the world. We highlight the advantage we have gained while working, living, and investing in Latin America.

BETA has offered consulting services to clients on gold projects in four Central American countries (Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras) and in Canada. Despite low gold prices today that are likely to continue into the future, BETA remains steadfast in offering quality engineering and geologic services to the mining community.

BETA Equipment

 

BETA is fully equipped to handle the computing needs and objectives of the 21st century mining company. All hardware and software resources are located in-house and operated by BETA staff. The company owns and operates a full compliment of software including Medsystem and AutoCAD programs as well as a host of peripheral equipment including color printers, high-volume laser printers, plotters, scanners, digitizers, digital cameras, laser copiers and assorted media writers.

BETA is on-line and set up for efficient long-distance transfer of data. We communicate with our clients using E-mail, the BETA world-wide-web server, or other web/ftp servers in addition to traditional fax/phone service. Each of BETA's clients is provided with a private password-protected directory within the BETA web server. This private directory uses the latest encryption security to allow clients to conveniently and securely download their most-current project files.

Workspace is available at BETA's office for clients who wish to work one-on-one with BETA personnel. One private office and one shared office, each with direct network connections to printer and plotter resources, are available for use.
